About Me: Art has always been part of my life. I got the love for the art from my mother and studied 9 years in art class. About Me: Hi, my deviant name is Jedeye (Jed for short) – My real name is Des Edwards. I live in Belfast, which, despite our troubled history, I have loved since I moved here thirty years ago from a small town in central Ulster. I have been married for most of that thirty years to my best friend Lynda and together we have raised three truly good human beings including our co-editor Angelbearlina. I have another daughter from my first marriage. I didn’t get to raise her but she is a good friend now as well as my daughter. I am fifty nine years old, although (aches and pains aside) I don’t feel that age - I am still wondering what I want to be when I grow up.
I have been interested in art since I was in school. I spent five years at art college in the seventies doing fine art and eventually became a textile designer. This took me into the Ulster linen trade and I have worked in industry ever since. More recently I have been a management consultant and freelance manager – and now I intend to stop all this and do art.
I have a wide interest in art – everything from traditional painting to fractal art, but I am particularly interested right now in the possibilities of digital painting and drawing. So over the next months I hope to discover in the dA community the best and most creative use of painting and image manipulation applications.

About Me: I've been drawing since I can remember. Almost everything I know was self taught through observations of other artists and by watching my brother draw when I was a child. I didn't start into the anime style until my freshman year of college. Before that I did mostly realism with fantasy features. I've been drawing anime for almost four years and I've only been working in the digital area for one year, but I've found a deep love for the style.
When I was introduced to the anime style of drawing, I also found inspiration to continue a story I've been developing for seven years. I call this story, Sanguem Deus. Through a mixture of japanese and american style, I've started a comic of my own that can be read here on deviant art or on drunkduck.com. It is my passion.
